Turn a flexible guided questionnaire into an editable case study draft for any industry.

== Description ==

Case Study Generator by Seven Creative helps you turn project notes into a structured WordPress blog post. Use it for professional services, construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, education, charities, technology or any other sector.

The wizard organises the wording you supply. It does not invent facts or rewrite your answers. Write narrative answers in complete sentences and check claims before publishing.

Features:
* Five guided steps, with an optional single-page view.
* Client or project profile, challenge, objectives, solution, work delivered and results.
* Optional metrics, evidence, testimonial and lessons learned.
* Three additional sections and editable section headings.
* Custom calls to action and project, video or virtual-tour links.
* Existing Media Library images as featured images.
* Category, tags, excerpt and an optional post slug.
* Optional search descriptions saved for Yoast SEO and Rank Math.
* Preview before creating a draft in the standard WordPress editor.
* No account, API key, subscription, telemetry or external service required.
* Generated posts remain available after deactivation or removal.

Empty sections are omitted. The plugin uses your theme's normal post styling and does not add public-facing branding, scripts or styles. No structured data is inserted; let your theme or SEO plugin manage it.

== Installation ==

1. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
2. Choose the supplied ZIP file without extracting it.
3. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
4. Open Tools > Case Study Generator.

The wizard is available to users with permission to edit posts. Installing plugins requires the appropriate administrator permission. Choosing or uploading featured images also requires upload permission.

If replacing the original GoCasa Case Study Generator, take a backup first. Upload this ZIP and select the WordPress option to replace the existing plugin. The original folder and main PHP filename are retained for update compatibility. Existing posts are not changed. Do not activate two copies under different folders.

== Usage ==

1. Project overview: enter a title and, if useful, a summary, client or project name, sector, location, timeframe and background.
2. Challenge and delivery: describe the challenge and solution. Add objectives and deliverables one per line.
3. Results and evidence: describe outcomes, add result statements one per line, and optionally include measurement notes, an approved testimonial and lessons learned.
4. Extras and links: add up to three custom sections, a project link and your own call to action.
5. Post settings: optionally set a slug, tags, search description, category and featured image. Expand Customise section headings to rename headings or leave a heading blank to keep its content without a heading.
6. Click Preview case study to review the assembled content. Your entries remain in the form. The preview does not show your theme layout or featured image.
7. Click Create draft and open editor. Review, edit, add media or embeds, then publish or submit for review through WordPress as your permissions allow.

Only a title and at least one narrative or list field are required. Most details are optional, so anonymous or internal projects are supported.

The summary also becomes the post excerpt. Tags are comma-separated; objectives, work delivered and metrics use one item per line. All wizard answers are plain text. Add formatting, inline links, images, galleries and embeds in the post editor.

The form is not automatically saved. Do not close or reload it before creating a draft. Preview retains entries only in the returned page. After creation, edit the post in WordPress; the wizard does not reload existing posts. Starting the wizard again creates another draft.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is this restricted to a particular industry? =
No. Industry and service fields accept your own wording. Use custom sections and headings to adapt the structure to your project.

= Does it publish immediately? =
No. It creates a draft and opens the normal editor. Publishing and scheduling use WordPress permissions and controls.

= Can I use it without JavaScript? =
Yes. All sections are displayed together. For a featured image, enter a permitted image attachment ID or set the image later in the post editor.

= How are videos and virtual tours handled? =
The optional project URL becomes a clickable link. Use an appropriate embed block in the editor for a video or tour. The plugin does not automatically insert arbitrary iframes or download external images.

= How does the search description work? =
It is stored in the Yoast SEO and Rank Math description fields. An active compatible SEO plugin is required to output it on the site. Search engines may choose a different snippet. This plugin does not guarantee rankings or insert duplicate metadata or schema.

= Will removing the plugin remove my posts? =
No. Posts, featured image assignments, tags, categories and SEO descriptions remain. The plugin does not create a custom post type or separate database tables.

= What information is sent to Seven Creative? =
None. There is no reporting or tracking. Content is submitted to your own WordPress installation. Links added to posts are ordinary links, and no remote requests are made by this plugin.

= Can I redistribute or modify it? =
Yes. This plugin is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or any later version. Preserve applicable licence and copyright notices. See LICENSE.txt.
