How to integrate Cloudflare Turnsile into Contact Form 7 in WordPress – an alternative to Google reCAPTCHA
Cloudflare Turnstile is a free system that protects websites from bots and spam without using frustrating puzzles. It replaces traditional CAPTCHAs, such as Google reCAPTCHA.
Instead of making visitors click on pictures of traffic lights or decode blurry text, Turnstile runs silent background checks in the browser. It looks for human-like behaviour and device characteristics to verify the user automatically.
This helps website owners in two main ways:
- Better user experience: Real visitors do not have to stop and solve puzzles just to submit a contact form or log in.
- More privacy: Cloudflare does not track user data for targeted advertising.
Since version 6.1, Contact Form 7 includes built-in support for Cloudflare Turnstile. This works without installing any extra third-party plugins.
